Manzana Cider

Project Year
Late 2017

Following university graduation, I was contacted to do the branding for Manila Cider Co., an emerging company that manufactures the Philippines’ first hard apple cider beverage. The project required branding for both the company and its products, with the brief simply stating that Manzana is a cool, contemporary, after-work drink for the young professionals of Metro Manila.

Visual design was inspired mostly by the product’s distribution plan– Manzana aspired to be the go-to drink along the busy streets of Poblacion, Makati, and an Instagram staple around the sunny shores of La Union. As the client wanted to differentiate the cider from other alcoholic beverages available on the market, I decided to create a bold, emblem-type illustration rather than a scenic narrative design that most craft beer labels are known for. I also created the company website and launch event collaterals.
